Bethany is thrilled to be able to work with the children and youth of Parkminster as the Sunday School and Youth Coordinator. She has been a member at Parkminster for more than 6 years, and chose Parkminster partly because of how this church values its children and their children’s ministry. She has a strong interest in how we develop children’s confidence and encourage their exploration of their faith and the world.
Bethany is finishing her Social Development Studies degree specializing in Education at the University of Waterloo, along with a passion for social justice and nurturing children’s development. She also has been lucky to research Anti-Black racism in connection to restorative education practices and enjoys learning about educational equity, children’s rights, social movements, and diversity and inclusion.
Outside of school, she is a member of the Voices United Choir and loves singing, kayaking, bird-watching, knitting and sewing, and tea.
